A government health agency in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Assistant Director for the Immunisation Policy and Strategy Division. You will lead the development of immunisation policies to minimize vaccine-preventable diseases, manage multiple priorities, and engage with healthcare stakeholders. Candidates must have a relevant tertiary education and at least 5 years of experience in public health. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential for success in this dynamic role.
The CDA is a new government agency that is established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore’s communicable diseases preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response.
As a Senior/Assistant Director of the Immunisation Policy and Strategy (IPS) Division, you will be contributing to the Division’s objective of minimising morbidity and mortality of vaccine-preventable diseases of public health importance through shaping national immunisation policies and strategies.
You will be working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
You will be leading a team in the development of evidence‑based immunisation recommendations and strategies, and keeping them up‑to‑date with latest scientific developments. You will drive the review of new and existing vaccines to formulate recommendations at both population and sub‑population levels, for both endemic and outbreak diseases. This includes supporting relevant expert committees, keeping abreast of the latest research and regulatory developments relating to vaccines of interest, and updating existing immunisation strategies.
In addition, you will also be driving the development of strategies for vaccine‑related counter‑measures as part of national preparedness and pandemic‑related planning. As part of the cross‑cutting nature of the work, you will have the opportunity to interact with MOH, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry stakeholders, in the development, design and implementation of these policies and strategies.
