Our STMJ (Science, Technology, and Medical Journals) team, including our prestigious Cell Press portfolio, publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research that drives progress across scientific and medical disciplines. We work closely with authors, editors, reviewers, and societies to ensure the integrity, relevance, and impact of the published work. Through innovation in editorial workflows and publishing technology, we empower global research communities to discover, evaluate, and share knowledge that advances science and improves life.

About the Role:

Cell has an opening for a full-time scientific editor. If you are a passionate, mission-driven team player who loves thinking broadly about science and wants to have a positive impact, we invite you to apply to join our editorial team. Candidates with experience and expertise in computational biology and AI/ML, genetics and genomics, clinical/translational and/or cancer research are encouraged to apply, but strong candidates from all disciplines who are broadly interested in science covered by the scope of Cell will be considered. This position is open to editors at entry level (where no editorial experience is needed) as well as those with editorial experience.

Cell, launched in 1974, is the flagship journal of Cell Press. It publishes exciting advances ranging from molecular to clinical research across various topics within the life and biomedical sciences. Cell editors engage with the scientific community to catalyze discovery and promote discourse. We provide scientists with valuable perspectives and candid feedback to help make their work clear, rigorous, and transparent, enabling readers to understand, trust, and build upon that work. Requirements:
