Responsibilities
  • Clean rooms on whatever floors or rooms assigned to her by her supervisor and run errands on guest supplies which are required for the convenience and comfort of the guests.
  • Report to duty on time and in uniform for daily assignments. Collect cleaning supplies and proceed to assigned areas. Follow instructions of the Junior Housekeeper as to:
    • Personal grooming and cleanliness.
    • Daily Room Report concerning:
      • Damage or missing articles from guestrooms.
      • Changes in guestroom equipment.
      • Lighting fixtures or switches out of order.
      • Plumbing fixtures out of order.
      • Unauthorised birds or animals, or vermin, termites. Suspicious or unusual guest conduct.
      • Guest illness.
      • Guestrooms which the Stewardess is unable to gain access.
      • “Do Not Disturb” or “Double Locker” rooms.
      • Lost and found items.
  • Check the trolleys are properly packed with linens, guest supplies, equipment before starting. Check vacant rooms and give a quick dusting over, clean ashtray along corridors. Ensure that guestrooms are done in time and up to the standards required and make reference to the standard checklist. Clean fridge in every check-out rooms and lock rooms.
  • Ensure that rubbish bags are removed from rooms to service lift lobby for disposal.
  • Take care of equipment, linen and supplies.
  • Follow par stocks of linen and supplies set up by the executive Housekeeper.
  • At the end of the day, clean the corridor assigned area, clean ashtray stand and dust walls along the corridors and window. Public staircase must be clear of all rubbish and kept clean.
  • Clean and tidy trolleys, stack up linen and guest supplies for the following day. Clear out dirty rags / cleaning cloth and give to laundry for washing and collect clean ones. Empty vacuum cleaner daily and make sure it is clean.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
