Job summary
A reputable engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and implement solutions for oil and gas projects. You will prepare material take-offs, cost estimates, and ensure adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in the industry, particularly in tanks and pressure vessels. Strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in design and drafting of tanks and pressure vessels in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industries.
- Familiar with industrial codes such as API 650, API 620, EN14015, ASME Section VIII, division 1 or 2.
- Computer literate with good hands-on experience in relevant software.
Responsibilities
- Design, install and implement products and services required by the client.
- Prepare detailed material take-off and cost estimates for procurement and tenders.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines for design changes.

Responsibilities
- Follows established procedures and guidelines to design, install products and services that is required by the Organisation / Client.
- Reviews / implements project / job specification.
- Carry out basic and detailed engineering design including calculations / analysis as per project requirements.
- Prepares detailed material take-off for project procurement and tender proposals.
- Assists in preparing cost estimate for tender proposal.
- Coordinates and cooperates with other disciplines on new process requirements, design interference check and design changes
- Adheres to ISE, Client and International Standards quality requirements in the execution of works as applicable.
- Instructs, supervises, manages and monitors the Designers in the course of work.
- Provides technical assistance to Construction Team
- Attends to Site checks / verification
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Familiar with related industrial code and standard such as API 650, API 620, EN14015, ASME Section VIII, division 1 or 2.
- Minimum of 3 years in the relevant working experience in design and drafting of tanks and pressure vessels in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industries.
