Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of building M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and related infrastructure.
- Supervise and guide facilities operations staff, technicians, and external contractors to ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance supporting round-the-clock operations.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee routine and ad-hoc maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
- Carry out regular inspections, system checks, audits, and fault diagnosis to ensure operational performance, safety, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare and submit periodic operational and performance reports to clients, tracking progress against agreed deliverables.
- Lead Addition & Alteration (A&A) works, including feasibility assessments, contractor coordination, energy efficiency initiatives, and on-site supervision to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor utility usage and performance data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and energy savings.
- Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, investigation findings, and compliance records for management and client reference.
- Coordinate with authorities, consultants, and service providers for permits, inspections, and statutory submissions.
- Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements by implementing risk assessments, safe work procedures, and safety controls.
- Provide technical recommendations on system upgrades, asset lifecycle planning, and sustainability improvements.
- Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Statement (MOS), and Risk Assessments.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of relevant experience in facilities or M&E operations, with practical exposure to A&A works, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Good working knowledge of Singapore Codes of Practice and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); experience in rail or hospital environments will be advantageous.
- Able to produce clear technical and operational reports, with good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
