Job Summary
Oversees and manages all site construction activities for LTA civil infrastructure projects, ensuring works are executed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with LTA requirements.
Essential Job Functions
The Construction Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead and supervise the site construction team, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Review and prepare method statements for submission to the client.
- Manage a construction project team and oversee the construction activities, planning, implementation, and monitoring of work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed construction program.
- Ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained site inspections are carried out and technical issues are resolved on time.
- Monitor ongoing site activities and ensure work runs smoothly.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and different authorities on the project’s activities.
- Track progress, prepare site reports, and support project management in planning and resource allocation.
- Oversee materials, equipment, and manpower utilization to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure safe work practices and lead site safety culture.
- To perform Ad-Hoc duties as per assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent, preferably recognized by Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
- With more than 10 years of site experience in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably LTA (road, MRT, tunnel, or viaduct).
- Proficient in both MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of LTA standards and construction methodology.
