Job Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our presence in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian market, specifically in the construction, renewable energy, and energy storage sectors. This role will be instrumental in identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and collaborating closely with our China-based headquarters to align strategies and execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B business development, preferably with an engineering or technical foundation and a deep understanding of renewable energy systems and energy storage technologies. Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is essential to manage cross-regional communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within Singapore and Southeast Asia, particularly in renewable energy, energy storage, and construction-related projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, contractors, EPCs, and government agencies.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and trade events to promote business growth and market presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and China-based headquarters to ensure alignment on project requirements, pricing, product availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide regular reports on business development performance, forecasts, pipeline status, and key client feedback.
  • Frequently travel to China HQ for meetings, training, and strategic alignment sessions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B business development, preferably in the engineering, renewable energy, or energy storage industries. (If holding a Master’s degree, 2+ years of relevant experience is acceptable.)
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy systems, energy storage solutions, or sustainable infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals in a B2B environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is essential to collaborate effectively with both local teams and China-based headquarters.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to China HQ and across Southeast Asia as needed.
