Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all activities, processes, and operations within the Business Development function, including R&D activities, and providing support and assistance to contracting functions as needed.

1. Develop policies, procedures, and processes for the Business Development function to ensure operational excellence aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
2. Identify new projects and markets, ensuring alignment with risk management and diversification strategies.
3. Review detailed proposals for new projects to facilitate approval by executive management.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to foster potential business opportunities.
5. Review and recommend bid methodologies, schedules, and ensure comprehensive bid package preparation.
6. Review tender documentation related to pricing, including instructions, conditions, measurements, bills of quantity, specifications, and drawings.
7. Support estimating and bidding functions in proposal preparation, development, and submission.
8. Plan and oversee market research and analysis to support business development and departmental research needs.
9. Provide insights to enhance competitiveness and support company growth targets.
10. Contribute to improving company services through market analysis and surveys.
11. Conduct benchmarking of global and regional contracting companies to identify best practices and expand market penetration.
12. Review financial feasibility of contracting projects and provide feedback.
13. Coordinate with corporate Business Development on latest techniques, equipment, and technology.
14. Participate in developing and evaluating new techniques and methodologies in construction via research activities.
15. Monitor new technical and environmental regulations issued by authorities.

• Bachelor's degree in Strategic Marketing or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in business development within the contracting industry
• Experience in the construction industry and related fields in Saudi Arabia and the region
• Fluent in Arabic and English
