• Lead and mentor the transportation team to ensure timely shipments and efficiency in processing.
• Monitor and address any backlogs or delays to maintain smooth operations.
• Implement performance improvement plans for team members when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding transfer orders and shipment processes.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of loading equipment and work facilities.
• Collaborate with warehousing and inbound teams to streamline processes and improve space utilization.
• Create a positive team environment that fosters communication and collaboration.
• Ensure correct loading procedures are followed to minimize product damage.
• Verify that all outbound shipments meet Gate Pass requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation.
• Quickly identify and resolve operational issues to limit disruptions.
• Prepare and manage necessary preparations for the next shift.
• Update management regarding any shipment discrepancies and propose resolutions.
• Work closely with other teams to ensure efficient order processing across the board.
