Business Unit Overview

At PwC, our people in Direct Tax Technology focus on providing advice and guidance to clients to support their operational tax needs for direct tax purposes. These individuals help businesses navigate new direct tax regulations such as Pillar Two, Corporate Tax or Transfer Pricing operational challenges and analyse possible ways forward to assess data needs, facilitate technology implementations and enhance and document tax governance matters.

How You’ll Contribute

As a Senior Manager, part of the Direct Tax Technology Team, you will join a team of skilled tax and technology professionals focused on standardising and enhancing tax-related data and processes through innovative technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include improving and optimising our client's internal processes related to direct taxes, identifying relevant data points in client data sources and aiding in the selection and integration of the most suitable technology solutions, whether through ERP/EPM system enhancements or specialised third‑party technology solutions.

You will help design and implement tools and processes specific to BEPS Pillar Two and Corporate Tax needs while collaborating closely with our global network of tax advisory and consulting teams. This role demands a proactive, innovative mindset and a commitment to delivering cutting‑edge tax technology solutions to some of the most challenging taxes. You will play a significant role in relationship‑building, both internally and externally with clients and Alliance partners.

Skills in data automation and extraction with a possible link to Global Information Reporting (AEOI, CARF, and FASTER) requirements are a helpful addition.

What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant working experience either in accounting or technology and finance.
  • You have a good understanding of accounting and overall direct tax processes.
  • Knowledge of the data requirements and the associated challenges and being able to articulate this to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Discuss the different solutions and how to use ancillary technology to automate/streamline the process.
  • Experience with using or implementing direct tax technology: Oracle TRCS, Longview, OneSource, OneStream, Orbitax, SAP PaPM, Tax Systems or similar solutions.
  • You are able to bridge the gap between IT and Tax professionals, tackling complex issues in a simple and understandable way.
  • Ability to analyse complex tax issues, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop innovative tax technology solutions to address them.
  • Given the evolving nature of tax regulations and technology trends, you are able to demonstrate a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in Pillar Two data and technology projects.
  • You are a team player who loves collaborating with people from around the world.
  • You are fluent in English.
