What You Will Do

The Sr. Patriot Frequency Converter Maintenance Technician supports the Royal Saudi Arabia Defense Forces (RSADF) Patriot program in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in power frequency converter improvement and repair for RSADF Patriot systems.
  • Providing technical and engineering advice to RSADF Patriot program leadership.
  • Engaging in preventive maintenance at all maintenance levels.
  • Performing troubleshooting, fault isolation, and field maintenance repair for all frequency converters.
  • Functionally testing power frequency converters after repair to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Opening and closing work orders, as well as providing on‑the‑job training (OJT).
  • Implementing approved engineering changes.
  • Enforcing RSADF safety policies, procedures, and standards.

Perform job‑related duties as specified by the user unit. This position is located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Graduate of a technical school in electronics or manufacturer’s course of instruction on power frequency converters, or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing power frequency converters.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of various types of converters; skill in using engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, general‑purpose commercial test equipment, and common tools.
  • Knowledge of the Patriot Missile System.
  • Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
  • Completion of US Army Master Gunner’s Course.
