The Site Manager (Civil) is responsible for the overall execution of civil works for the high-voltage substation project, ensuring construction is completed safely, on time, in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards, and in coordination with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Overall management of civil construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, control building, cable trenches, roads, and drainage.
- Ensuring availability of required resources (manpower, equipment, materials, plant, tools and safety gear, etc.).
- Ensure construction is executed in accordance with the approved IFC drawings, method statements, and project schedule.
- Overseeing work done by working groups, sub-contractors and other agencies.
- Close coordination with all members of the execution team, supervisors, consultants, other agencies and the client.
- Ensuring implementation of quality control requirements, procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor daily site progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Preparation and submission of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and attending progress review meetings.
- Ensuring work execution as per standards, specifications, procedures and good engineering practices.
- Ensuring inspections, measurements, and approvals of completed work quantities and initiating progress payment claims.
- Review and close site NCRs, observations, and punch items.
- Ensuring site documentation, progress reports, instructions and other records are properly maintained and safeguarded.
- Ensuring completion of job activities according to the approved work schedule and within approved budget targets.

- Leadership qualities possessing strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Efficient and result‑oriented.
