Overview
- Senior Sales Manager is responsible for targeting, qualifying and contracting predominantly local and global corporate accounts not yet utilizing the property.
- Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, and written communication.
- Maintains close business relationships with existing clients through key sales activities.
- Closely follows up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
- Adapts to client needs by tailoring hotel services to fit client requests.
- Analyzes the corporate segment performance based on segmentation objectives and strategies.
- Conducts competitor surveys and recommends strategies based on market intelligence.
- Reviews corporate accounts and recommends actions in terms of rates, production, and contract renewals.
- Analyzes other factors that affect production (e.g., internal and external factors) and recommends actions required.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation skills to maximize hotel profit in all revenue-producing areas.
- Demonstrates commitment to hotel operating principles and philosophies.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respectfully serves as the brand ambassador of the hotel and communicates all promotions and products to the market.
- Maintains rate integrity of the hotel and maximizes revenue opportunities.
- Identifies new markets and business opportunities and increases sales.
- Works directly with clients to plan event details, develop solutions and provide guidance and direction as the main meeting contact and hotel representative for assigned events.

- All duties carried out should be conducted to the highest standard and in accordance with hotel standards, company policies & procedures, objectives and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- To promote the image and services of the company so that maximum growth occurs through gaining new clients and contracts
- Accountable for generating and prospecting new business from local markets to grow corporate share whilst managing current accounts with a long-term plan to grow the existing portfolio
- Perform day-to-day sales activity including lead generation, account management, face-to-face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation (under the DOSM’s direction), site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips
- Maintain awareness of the hotel's key competitors, their client interaction, their key account base and corresponding rates and any property developments.
