Our client, a leading construction company specializing in Fit‑Outs. They are renowned for completing major large‑scale 5‑star projects in UAE and KSA. They are seeking an experienced Senior QHSE Manager ideally with a solid background in Fit‑Outs, for their projects in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

Position Description

The Senior QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s QHSE policies, strategies, and management systems. The role ensures compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across the organization. The Senior QHSE Manager plays a key role in safeguarding the well‑being of employees, contractors, and stakeholders while enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and reputation.

1- Leadership and Strategy
  • Develop and implement the company's QHSE strategy in line with corporate objectives.
  • Provide leadership to the QHSE team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure QHSE priorities align with business goals.
2- Policy Development and Implementation
  • Establish, maintain, and improve QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Ensure alignment with international standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
3- Compliance and Auditing
  • Monitor compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
  • Conduct and oversee QHSE audits, certifications, and inspections.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly, to address non‑conformities.
4- Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to quality, health, safety, and environment.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management plans.
5- Training & Awareness
  • Design and deliver QHSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Promote awareness and engagement through campaigns, workshops, and initiatives.
6- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Establish and monitor QHSE performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare and present regular reports on QHSE performance to senior management.
7- Incident Management
  • Lead investigations to QHSE incidents, ensuring root causes are identified, and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders.
8- Sustainability Initiatives
  • Drive initiatives to reduce the organization’s environmental footprint and promote sustainability.
  • Monitor energy use, waste management, and resource efficiency practices.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related field.
  • Masters Degree or additional Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management is Preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Management within Construction, Interior Fit‑Outs, or related industries.
  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) certifications are highly desirable.
  • Certified Internal and External Auditor for ISO Standards.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or any equivalent Health and Safety certification is required.
  • Proven track record in leading QHSE strategies and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communications, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency and command of English is required.
  • Proficiency in QHSE management systems and tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, produce reports, and implement strategic initiatives.
