Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our supervision team in Riyadh for large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, highways, and tunnel systems . The successful candidate will play a key role in construction supervision , design review , and quality assurance , working closely with contractors and stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspect mechanical works (e.g., tunnel ventilation, firefighting systems, drainage pumps, lighting systems) on infrastructure projects.
  • Review and comment on design submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all mechanical installations conform to project specifications, standards, and applicable codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).
  • Coordinate closely with other disciplines (civil, electrical, structural) and ensure interface alignment on-site.
  • Monitor contractors' progress and workmanship, flag deviations, and lead resolution of mechanical-related issues.
  • Attend progress and technical meetings; report regularly to the client and project team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on all mechanical aspects.
  • Lead inspections and testing of mechanical systems (e.g., tunnel ventilation fans, fire pumps, HVAC systems, pressure tests).
  • Provide input to change requests, claims, and technical variations related to mechanical scope.
  • Assist in the preparation of handover documents and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC on infrastructure/transportation projects.
  • Previous experience with a construction supervision consultant is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in mechanical works related to tunnels, bridges, highways, and road infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP installations in tunnel and road projects.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as NFPA, ASHRAE, EN, BS, and ISO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using software tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation systems.
