Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Purpose

To manage and monitor daily accounting activities related to transportation and fuel operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and full compliance with approved accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports and submit them to management.
  • Handle accounting activities related to transportation costs, fuel expenses, and operational transactions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial records and information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal financial controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor variances between budgeted and actual results.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems, financial processes, and internal control procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and ad-hoc reports as requested by finance management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and service providers when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the transportation and logistics sector.
