Qualifications

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Sales & Information Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to provide actionable insights that drive business growth. This role bridges sales, marketing, trade marketing, and finance, ensuring that decisions are supported by accurate market intelligence and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Strategic

  • identify consumer trends and category insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Benchmark company performance against competitors.

(2) Operational

  • Consolidate sales data from multiple channels (modern trade, wholesale, discounters, traditional trade, e-commerce, food service & distributors).
  • Track and report sales performance versus targets (daily, weekly, monthly, YTD).
  • Analyse SKU, channel, customer, and regional performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor pricing, promotions, and trade spend effectiveness.
  • Maintain dashboards and business intelligence tools (Excel, SAP. etc...)

(3) People

  • Support sales teams with data-driven recommendations for customer negotiations.
  • Assist marketing & trade marketing in evaluating campaign ROI.
  • Partner with supply chain to align demand planning with sales trends.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of FMCG sales channels and distribution models.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate data into insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
