Job Title: Regional Business Manager – Water Treatment & Desalination Chemicals (Middle East)

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Industry: Chemicals / Fertilisers / Polymer / Plastic / Rubber

Employment Type: Permanent
Reports To: Country Head – Saudi Arabia (USCI)

Objective of the Role:

To lead and grow Aquapharm’s footprint across the Middle East and North Africa markets, driving sales and market share in the desalination chemicals segment through strategic partnerships, distributor management, and strong technical-commercial engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and expand Aquapharm’s desalination chemicals business across the Middle East and North Africa.

  2. Develop and execute country-specific and account-specific sales strategies to increase market share in Thermal and RO Plants.

  3. Identify and build partnerships with public and private procurement agencies, utilities, and engineering consultants.

  4. Evaluate, appoint, and support distributors to ensure strong market coverage and customer satisfaction.

  5. Provide technical support by delivering product datasheets, application insights, and samples.

  6. Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to align product offerings with market needs.

  7. Track regional regulatory changes and tender opportunities to inform bid strategies.

  8. Deliver accurate sales forecasts and contribute to regional budgeting and planning.

  9. Represent Aquapharm at trade shows, desalination conferences, and industry forums to enhance visibility and credibility.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years of B2B sales experience in water treatment or specialty chemicals, ideally with exposure to desalination or industrial water management.

  • Proven experience working with government entities and navigating public procurement frameworks in the Middle East.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).

  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and technical understanding of water chemistry and membrane treatment.

  • Experience managing cross-cultural distributor networks and working independently in a regional capacity.

  • Prior experience with Italmatch Chemicals or BWA Water Additives is mandatory.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Africa (preferred).
