Job description

Responsibilities

• Focus on network evolution and optimization, with a strong knowledge of LTE, NR, Volte and related transport evolvement.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and network performance management strategies with a focus on user experience.
• Deep knowledge of 3GPP specifications, call flows and system architecture. Strong Engineering forecasting ability with cost-benefit analysis.
• Ensure the specifications and configuration of the Network solutions implemented are in-line with the best practices.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels within the organization verbal and written.
• Meticulous and attention to detail and ability to resolve complex problems from operational as well as technical perspectives.
• Ability to lead and develop activities for investigation and validating of new capabilities within Network.
• Hands-on experience on major RF Tools with deep knowledge of their functionality.
• Up to date knowledge of RAN Software releases and solutions.

Skills

Technical Skills

• Network performance KPI (3G/4G/5G) monitoring and optimization for all key indicators such as Access, Retainability, Mobility, Interference, MoS, Throughput and utilization.
• Volte optimization and troubleshooting, ability to work cross functionally with IMS and PS core teams to investigate and resolve Volte issues
• Deep Technical understanding of the UMTS/LTE/NSA/SA system architecture.
• Area optimization and Top Worst Cells troubleshooting.
• Drive test data analysis, signal tracing data analysis and troubleshooting to improve network performance.
• Network configuration and RF parameters analysis, RAN design proposal to improve the radio network performance.
• Feature testing, parameter tuning and design changes to improve network efficiency and utilization.
• Layering strategy for optimal utilization of available bands
• Idle and connected mode traffic balancing techniques
• NSA and SA experience will be preferred.
• NSA interworking with 4G; anchoring, DSS and ENDC strategies.
• Comprehensive grasp of Key Performance Indicators and measures used to assess service quality within LTE and 5G networks.
• Formulate performance processes and Drive performance improvement plans
• Interoperator benchmark improvement experience is a plus
• Drive automation for all regular reporting tasks and make use of available automation tools to enhance team efficiency.
• Continuous process improvement to streamline optimization tasks
• Skilled and considerable experience of RAN Performance/Optimization/Service quality Management Tools and Processes.
• Skilled and considerable experience of using data manipulation and analytics tools such as powerBI, tableu, Python, Access and Excel.
• Comprehensive grasp of Key Performance Indicators and measures used to assess service quality within the UMTS & LTE and 5G networks
• Technical communication and clarification with customers and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Experience in RAN design/optimization for 5+ years.
• Experience in LTE/NR technology and ability to optimize networks and continually improve customer experience.
• Knowledge of network performance KPI, wireless signal and pcap data analysis and trouble shooting.
• Familiarity with drive test and post processing tools for optimization.
• Team player and good intercultural/interpersonal communication skills.
• Inter operator Benchmark experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Huawei wireless parameters and feature is preferred.
• Experience with automation tools is preferred.
