Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for a knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor of Electrical to join their MEP Department in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will manage pre- and post-contract processes and support high-rise building projects. Key responsibilities include preparing bills of quantities, analyzing project documents, and estimating project costs. A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Electrical Engineering, as well as proficiency in technical drawings, is essential. Familiarity with tender pricing and local market rates is preferred.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Quantity Surveyorof Electricalto join our MEPDepartment in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both pre- and post-contract processes, and experience in high-rise building projects. This role requires strong analytical, calculation, and drawing interpretation skills, along with the ability to evaluate tender documents and perform risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Electrical Quantity Take-off for tendering and reviewing the team's measurement results.
  2. Prepare and evaluate bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
  3. Analyze and interpret project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  4. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely tender submissions.
  5. Estimate project costsof post-contract .
  6. Monitor market rates and material costs to support tendering strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsof Electrical.
  3. Proficient in international measurement principles (e.g., POMI/NRM), expert in Saudi-standard quantity take-off software, with the ability to perform 4.rapid and accurate calculation and verification of electrical quantities.
  4. Proficient in preparing and auditing Bills of Quantities , with the capability to perform electrical cost estimation and tender pricing.
  5. Familiar with MEP labor productivity rates and material price levels in Saudi Arabia.
  6. Experience in risk management and contractual assessments.
  7. Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Skills
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC region projects.
  • Professional QS certification (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent).
