Job description

Leverage your abilities and join the dynamic team of a leading company specializing in the construction industry in Saudi Arabia.

The QS Manager position entails managing project costs from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring value for money, overseeing cost control, procurement, contract administration, and risk management, and delivering projects within budget and timeline while maintaining quality standards.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage surveying teams across building, road, and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and design final road grading levels (Road Grading Design), ensuring smooth traffic flow and proper drainage.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment (Total Stations, GNSS, Laser Scanners, UAVs).
  • Develop longitudinal profiles and cross sections (for roads and infrastructure projects).
  • Prepare hydraulic profiles for stormwater, sewage, and water supply networks.
  • Conduct Natural Ground Level (NGL) surveys to establish accurate natural ground conditions.
  • Perform grid surveying (grid leveling) for contour mapping and cut/fill volume estimation.
  • Apply value engineering by optimizing grading and profiles to minimize cut and fill quantities, reducing costs and manpower.
  • Contribute to preparing as-built drawings using field survey data.
  • Review and validate benchmarks linked to national geodetic networks.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Ensure high accuracy in all surveying, setting out, and profiling works.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Cost Control departments to analyze the impact of grading on schedules and costs.
  • Operate design and analysis software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, InfraWorks, ArcGIS, BIM 360.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Expertise in construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • In-depth understanding of contracts, procurement methods, and legal frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or JCT contracts).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess costs and risks effectively.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in calculations and reports.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools like AutoCAD, MS Excel, Primavera, or specialized quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or Candy).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and disputes effectively.
  • Capability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Decision-making skills to manage project costs and mitigate risks proactively.
