Job summary

A leading utility company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced Lead QAQC Mechanical Engineer. The role involves overseeing quality assurance and control activities across large-scale infrastructure projects. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 10 years of QA/QC experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be familiar with water desalination and solar power projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of proven QA/QC experience within construction and commissioning projects.
  • Familiarity with water desalination, sewerage treatment, solar power, and battery energy storage projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspection and quality control of equipment and installation processes.
  • Review compliance of incoming materials and equipment with project specifications.
  • Monitor installation quality at site, ensuring adherence to design drawings and safety standards.
  • Lead quality inspections during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports and ensure timely corrective actions.

We are hiring for:

Lead QAQC Mechanical Engineers

Lead QAQC Electrical Engineers

Lead QAQC I&C Engineers

The QA/QC Engineers will oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across all phases of large-scale infrastructure & Utility projects. They will be involved in quality assurance and quality control in all phases of project which includes but is not limited to construction, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and operational support until the plant(s) achieve stable operation including power generation, water desalination plant, Sewage treatment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control & Inspection:
  • Perform thorough inspection and quality control of equipment, and installation processes from receiving through construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.
  • Material Receiving Inspection:
  • Review and verify compliance of incoming materials and equipment with project specifications, international standards, and Saudi codes.
  • Construction Phase QC:
  • Monitor installation quality at site, ensuring adherence to design drawings, codes, and safety standards.
  • Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Support:
  • Lead quality inspections during pre-commissioning and commissioning, including functional testing, system integration, and performance validation.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented timely.
  • Coordination:
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and Operations teams to ensure quality processes and standards are embedded throughout the project.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor QA:
  • Evaluate and audit suppliers and subcontractors’ QA processes and performance.
