Job summary

A leading service provider in pipeline technologies located in Dammam seeks an experienced Chemical Engineer to supervise the Production of Polyurethane. This role requires 5+ years of experience in polyurethane formulation and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. You will oversee production planning, ensure quality standards are met, and work directly with the production team to enhance product capabilities. Fluency in English is essential, and familiarity with lab techniques will be advantageous. Safety compliance is also paramount in this role.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in polyurethane formulation or product development.
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as structural characterization.
  • Working knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Production of Polyurethane Section.
  • Maintain the Raw Material Stock for three months of production.
  • Develop existing PU quality with the production team.

Position Summary

This position is directly involved and responsible for the development of new products, formulations for Polyurethane unit. Tasks include Polyurethane Production Planning and delivering the Product to quality as per target date and Company standards.

Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities
  • Supervising the Production of Polyurethane Section.
  • Providing the polyurethane formulation experience to the Team
  • Maintain the Raw Material Stock for Three months Production.
  • Working directly with TM/Production team to develop existing PU quality
  • Developing a deep understanding of the functional attributes of a wide range of polyurethane materials relevant to Company Industries.
  • Applying knowledge of polyurethane structure property relationships to new and existing products.
  • Translating the fundamental knowledge of Company’s technology benefits to the development of new products and the identification of new market spaces.
  • Testing completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures to ensure proper operation
  • Setting up and operates various casting machines to cast polyurethane products
  • Position, secure, measure, and work polyurethane stock or castings to lay out for machining.
  • Lay outs, shapes and assembles patterns of plastic and other materials from blueprints, models or templates
  • To execute all other tasks as requested by TM/Production Director or by the immediate Supervisor within the assigned job role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience with polyurethane formulation / product development
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as structural characterization and analytical techniques.
  • Fluency in the English language, working knowledge of other languages is a plus
Physical And Mental Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
