Job description

Our client is one of the leading adhesive manufacturers across the region with manufacturing sites employing over 100 people. They are seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all technical functions on site.

Role Description

Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing (Specialty Chemicals), you will manage the entire Industrial Adhesives site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will oversee Production, Maintenance, Warehousing, Quality Assurance, Sales Support and Product Development in close liaison with plant support departments such as Finance and Sales.

• Ensure production goals are consistently met.
• Develop and prepare the manufacturing budgets and ensure they are properly executed.
• Manage the maintenance function and ensure all maintenance plans are efficient.
• Manage Capex projects / assignments.
• Develop and enforce QHSE policies and procedures.
• Regularly review continuous improvement techniques to improve production processes and reduce costs.
• Ensure the factory runs efficiently by monitoring inventory and waste management.
• Control the quality of all finished products with zero tolerance for substandard quality.

Who We're Looking For

The successful candidate must hold an Industrial Management or Engineering university degree with a minimum of 10 years of work experience within the industrial adhesives manufacturing industry. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential from the Association for Operations Management (APICS). It is crucial that the candidate understands the adhesives manufacturing process.
