BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Plans and Scheduling (P&S) is responsible to the Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) Commander for the efficient and effective scheduling of aircraft and equipment to meet both mission and maintenance requirements, additionally he is responsible for training of assigned RSAF personnel.
Coordination with Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) to ensure that the Maintenance Squadron Commander (MSC) and their staff of advised of maintenance capability, problem areas and the effectiveness of schedules.
Co-ordination of the Daily Flying programme, working closely with the Fleet Management Function and Operations to ensure Tail Numbers allocated are in line with the Fleet management Plan and in the correct configuration for required operations.
Coordination with Fleet Planning to ensure accurate scheduling of all Typhoon aircraft into phased Maintenance to minimise impact on the flying achievement and maximise efficiency within the Depth Maintenance environment.
Accurate and Timely Scheduling of all Typhoon inspection requirements.
Coordination of the maintenance activity planning actions in support of all unit plans and alerts, mass loading, mobility and deployment, severe weather and similar situations for Typhoon aircraft.
Attendance at, and participation in the monthly and weekly operational and maintenance planning meetings. Preparation for and organisation of the Phased maintenance input meetings and the preparation of required paperwork for such meetings.
Be able to use the RSAF Manuals related to the Plans and Schedules position.
Be familiar with the maintenance support organisation, their capabilities and operations, in order to coordinate tasks which, involve the participation of more than one engineering element of the Stn, including external agencies.
Monitor the tracking of relevant TIs, TQs, and SFIs that have a direct impact on the Typhoon Fleet.
Supervision of assigned manpower to the Plans & Scheduling section; responsible for Shift management, quality of output, welfare and career development of all assigned staff.
Deputise for the MOF Superintendent during periods of absence.
Carrying out thorough shift handovers.
Demonstrable experience working as an Aircraft Planner conducting Aircraft Allocation and planning activities on a busy, military operational flying unit.
Good level of interpersonal skill to co-ordinate a number of activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct decision making.
Good understanding of company processes and procedures and industry knowledge.
An understanding of engineering operations procedures within a Maintenance environment.
Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
A track record of understanding Fleet Management and its importance in airworthiness.
