Job Purpose

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing internal and external communication strategies that enhance the visibility, reputation, and engagement of the Secretary General & CEO Office. The role ensures consistent messaging, effective media and stakeholder communication, and high-quality content that supports strategic initiatives, executive engagements, and organizational priorities. Acts as a communication focal point for the Office, safeguarding the SOPC image and ensuring alignment with its values and standards.

Strategic Communication & Planning
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR & communication strategy for the Secretary General & CEO Office, ensuring alignment with SOPC’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor communication trends, public sentiment, and stakeholder feedback to proactively adjust communication approaches.
  • Support the Director in promoting the Office’s strategic initiatives through structured messaging and communication campaigns.
Executive Communication Support
  • Prepare, draft, and refine speeches, briefing notes, talking points, and official messaging for the Secretary General & CEO.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all materials delivered to internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate with internal divisions to consolidate accurate information and translate it into high-quality communication outputs.
Media Relations & Public Engagement
  • Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and communication partners to position SOPC positively.
  • Prepare press releases, media statements, and event-related communication material.
  • Support media coverage for SOPC events, official visits, and VIP engagements, ensuring alignment with protocol and PR standards.
Internal Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Serve as the central communication focal point for the Administrative Management department, ensuring timely dissemination of key updates, decisions, and announcements.
  • Develop content for internal channels (emails, newsletters, announcements, briefing packs) that enhances transparency and alignment across SOPC divisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of shared messages.
Content Development & Brand Alignment
  • Create and oversee high-quality content including reports, presentations, executive briefs, talking points, and digital assets for the Secretary General & CEO Office.
  • Ensure all communication materials reflect SOPC branding, tone, visual standards, and professional image.
  • Maintain a repository of communication templates, guidelines, and reference materials to support office efficiency.
Event PR Support & Protocol Alignment
  • Support PR and communication requirements for VIP visits, ceremonies, official receptions, and high-profile events managed by the Administrative Management department.
  • Coordinate closely with Protocol teams to ensure communication deliverables align with diplomatic norms and event requirements.
  • Develop communication briefs, event summaries, and post-event reports for stakeholders and leadership.
Reputation & Issues Management
  • Monitor issues, risks, and public narratives related to SOPC and the Secretary General & CEO Office.
  • Provide timely recommendations and communication responses to address sensitive matters and protect organizational reputation.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion in managing sensitive information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Directors, Managers, and communication representatives across SOPC to ensure unified messaging.
  • Support the consolidation of strategic reports and updates for the Secretary General & CEO, ensuring communication clarity and professionalism.
  • Represent the Administrative Management department in communication-related discussions and working groups.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Introduce tools and practices to improve communication effectiveness, documentation structure, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion and delivery of communication materials for Board meetings, committees, and executive engagements.
