Overview

The Manager Arrival and Departure Airports will support the Senior Manager in managing all transport services related to the arrival and departure of guests, employees, and stakeholders to and from airports served by the AMAALA project.

This role focuses on ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient transportation during high‑traffic periods, contributing to the seamless guest experience that AMAALA strives for.

The Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transport schedules, managing service providers, and overseeing the transport team.

The role will also include proactive identification and implementation of improvements to elevate service delivery and operational efficiency.

The jobholder’s responsibility is to plan and provide safe and reliable transportation services to all guests and employees/stakeholders to ensure safe journeys with minimal delays.

The role requires constant management of maintenance of the fleet (in collaboration with the Maintenance team) as recommended by manufacturers, thereby ensuring effective & efficient functioning of the department and a positive guest experience due to upkeep of the fleet.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and Monitor Airport Transport Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of transportation services between airport terminals and Triple Bay / AMAALA Staff Village.
    • Monitor schedules for arrivals and departures, ensuring no gaps or delays in transport availability.
    • Ensure the transport services meet the agreed standards for safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Service Coordination
    • Address any non‑performance issues or operational challenges and ensure corrective actions are implemented swiftly.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
    • Lead a team of transport coordinators, drivers, and support staff to ensure smooth operations during arrivals and departures.
    • Manage team scheduling, performance reviews, and ensure staff are well‑trained and equipped to deliver a high standard of service.
  • Guest Experience Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all transport‑related inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Respond promptly to feedback, resolving any issues to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Operational Improvement Initiatives
    • Proactively review and analyze existing transport operations to identify opportunities for improved efficiency or cost‑effectiveness.
    • Implement new systems to enhance the guest experience and streamline operations.
  • Risk and Safety Management
    • Ensure all transport services are in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Report and investigate any incidents or accidents involving transport services, taking necessary corrective actions and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Reporting & Data Management
    • Compile regular reports on transport performance, including ridership data, incident reports, and feedback analysis.
    • Provide insights to senior management regarding trends, operational challenges, and recommendations for service enhancements.
Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 6 years industry experience and proven expertise in the automotive or transportation industry.
  • Experience of managing A&D Airport functions in a large and fast‑paced environment.

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment.
  • Must be able to multi‑task in a fast pace, high volume environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with a minimum of intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Outlook (skill level will be tested).
  • Able to work in a highly collaborative environment with independence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate based on needs of VIP chauffeur driver.
  • Strong customer service orientation. High energy and passion for interaction with people.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time‑management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information.
