Job summary

A leading maintenance services company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced HVAC and Refrigeration Technician. The role involves performing maintenance on HVAC systems, diagnosing faults, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or cold storage facilities and hold a relevant technical certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HVAC or AC Technician in food manufacturing or cold storage facility.
  • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Hands-on experience with compressors, evaporators, and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and chillers.
  • Diagnose and repair system faults and refrigerant leaks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Hands-on experience with chillers

Job description
HVAC and Refrigeration Maintenance
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and cold storage units.
  • Diagnose and repair system faults, refrigerant leaks, compressors, motors, and control panels.
  • Ensure temperature and humidity control systems are operating effectively in processing, packing, and storage areas.
  • Monitor refrigeration performance and maintain temperature logs as per HACCP and factory quality requirements.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, and materials inventory related to HVAC and cooling systems.
Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere to all food safety, health, and safety regulations within the production environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas to meet hygiene and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  • Follow proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and ensure safe refrigerant handling practices.
Education
  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Refrigeration / Air Conditioning or equivalent.
Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HVAC or AC Technician in a food manufacturing or cold storage facility (preferably dates, food, or beverage industry).
Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with chillers, compressors, evaporators, AHUs, FCUs, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants (R22, R134a, R404a, etc.) and safety procedures.
