Job summary

A leading defense contractor in Dhahran Compound, Saudi Arabia, seeks a professional to manage technical library operations and oversee all publications. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate cataloguing, ensuring updates in publications, and advising maintenance personnel on procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of maintenance experience, a relevant technical qualification, and be conversant with Microsoft Office tools. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the Saudi defense industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years practical maintenance experience.
  • Experience in an aircraft major servicing organization.
  • Two years' experience in maintaining Technical Publications.
  • RSAF AFSC Skill Knowledge level 7.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Main Account Holder for all publications.
  • Operate a technical library supporting maintenance activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date cataloguing systems for materials.
  • Monitor requirements and maintain currency of materials.
  • Ensure all changes are incorporated in technical publications.

Job description
  • Be the Main Account Holder for all publications issued by TOPDO.
  • Operate a technical library to support the maintenance activities and ensure proper control of custodial items.
  • Maintain a filing and up to date cataloguing system for all materials held in the library and publications held by sub-account holders.
  • Monitor requirements and places orders for new materials to maintain currency.
  • Ensure all changes and amendments are promptly incorporated in the appropriate technical publication with details entered onto a publications database
  • Carry out regular checks to ensure all publications are in good condition and affect any repairs.
  • Carry out routine checks of all publications held subject to locally agreed policy.
  • Advise maintenance personnel on procedures for Technical Publications.
  • Alert Department Heads, on a monthly basis, any changes to Technical Publications held
  • Supporting Quality assurance for TPDIRs process.
Job Requirements:
  • Have at least 3 years post qualification practical maintenance experience supported by formal record Knowledge of Technical Orders and Procedures or Process Document.
  • Experience within aircraft major servicing organisation.
  • A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification approved by M&CA.
  • Conversant with the use of the Microsoft suite of office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook).
  • Two years’ experience maintaining Technical Publications.
  • RSAF AFSC Skill Knowledge level 7.
