Job Title: Lead Testing I&C Engineer (Water Treatment Projects)
Location: Saudi Arabia
Employment Type: Full Time
Experience Required:

8–10+ years’ experience in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering, including at least 5 years in testing, commissioning, and start‑up on large industrial or water projects.

Proven experience on Reverse Osmosis (RO), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), or water/desalination projects in the Middle East.

Prior lead/ senior role coordinating multi‑discipline site teams and subcontractors during commissioning phases.

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced and detail‑oriented Lead Testing I&C Engineers to join our team, is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all I&C testing and commissioning activities for RO and STP facilities, ensuring systems are installed, calibrated, and operated in line with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. The role covers pre‑commissioning, cold and hot commissioning, performance testing, and technical support through plant handover and early operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead all I&C pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and functional testing activities for RO and STP units, ensuring compliance with project specifications and HSE/QA requirements.
  • Supervise and guide I&C site teams and subcontractors during loop checks, I/O checks, instrument calibration, and control system (PLC/DCS/SCADA) functional tests.
  • Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical disciplines and vendors to resolve I&C issues, clear punch items, and ensure systems meet performance and reliability targets.
  • Prepare and maintain all testing and commissioning documentation, including test reports, red‑line mark‑ups, as‑built I&C documents, and support operator training and plant handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 8–10+ years of I&C experience, with strong track record in pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up on water/RO/STP or process/power projects, including previous lead or senior role.
  • Solid technical knowledge of field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA), including loop checks, calibration, logic testing, and control loop tuning.
  • Familiarity with relevant I&C and industrial standards, QA/QC and HSE practices, and commissioning procedures for large plants.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multi‑discipline, multi‑cultural teams and interact effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors.
