Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Lead Planner to oversee staff planning and apply best practices in project controls across projects. The ideal candidate will prepare forecasts, monitor manpower needs, and prepare various planning reports. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and have significant experience in planning and project management, including familiarity with construction laws and project scheduling software like Primavera. Previous GCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years relevant experience, 2 years in GCC preferred.

Job Summary

The Lead Planner oversees all the staff planning and ensures good practices are applied in project controls and planning in all projects. Highlights to management overall progress, delays, and areas of concerns in all projects. Additionally, supports projects in delay analysis and any complex project controls related issues whenever required.

Job Responsibilities 1
  • Prepare Manpower and Revenue Forecast
  • Plans and Monitor Daily Manpower Requirements and Deployments
  • Oversees Preparation of Various Planning Reports including Progress and KPI Reports
  • Review and Analyzes Technical Documents from Projects to Understand Workshops Scope
  • Review and Prepares responses to all formal correspondences
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge in Principles of Planning and Project Management Knowledge in Construction Law, Change Management, and principles and practices of research and data collection

Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Cost Objectives

Familiarity with Planning practices and the associated software such as Advanced Primavera6

Knowledge in building construction planning and scheduling

Strong cost control knowledge and knowledge in preparation of EOT claims and delay analysis

Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes

Familiar with local and international standards in construction

Job Experience
