About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for Laundry Manager for Laundry Department to join Jumeirah Group.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Organize and supervise the operation of the laundry department, providing high quality of services delivered to guests and ensure compliance with the processes and standards of the Group.

  • Organize production schedules to meet the requirements of various departments and make regular water analysis to ensure consistent supply of clean, neat and quality linens and uniforms.

  • Control the laundry supplies expenses and develop the shift schedule according to the requirements of the operations and the capacity of the manpower, to manage effectively the laundry budget and available manpower.

  • Assess production methods and procedures, and initiate relevant improvements to increase laundry efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Check and inspect the laundry department equipment and report malfunctions to the Engineering department to ensure adequate equipment is always available and operating effectively.

  • Conduct regular meetings to keep colleagues informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments to ensure that colleagues are aware of the relevance and importance of their contribution to the department objectives.

  • Oversee and assists in all administrative aspects of the department ensuring that necessary clear and concise operation records are maintained.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Essential
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints/issues in a calm and professional manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of laundry procedures and chemicals.
  • High level of customer service orientation.
  • Very good knowledge of the SBU Health & Safety regulations and standards.
  • Very good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.
  • Computer literacy and very good MS Office skills.
Desired
  • Preferred to be experienced in luxury hospitality.
  • Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.
