Head of Strategic Business and Consulting

HEAD, STRATEGIC BUSINESS & CONSULTING (this role is for Malaysians only)

The client is looking for an experienced leader in consulting and strategic business practice, driving ASEAN expansion, IP monetization, and digital platform-led growth. The role is responsible for transforming the company from a traditional system integrator into a consulting-led, technology-driven organization, delivering sustainable revenue, building client trust, and positioning Theta as a unique regional player.

Strategic Leadership & ASEAN Expansion
  • Formulate and execute a regional strategy for consulting-led growth across Malaysia and ASEAN.
  • Position co as a trusted advisor to government, enterprises, and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop industry-specific consulting frameworks and playbooks (digital maturity, smart cities, healthcare robotics, mobility, etc.).
Business Growth & IP Monetization
  • Drive consulting and advisory revenues with accountability for recurring-revenue contracts.
  • Monetize proprietary platforms and solutions.
  • Build partnerships with global technology providers, regulators, and local players to scale offerings.
Consulting Excellence & Delivery
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality consulting engagements that deliver measurable client outcomes.
  • Introduce structured consulting methodologies and knowledge assets across divisions.
  • Champion innovation and embed AI, data, and digital transformation practices into consulting delivery.
  • Manage divisional P&L, ensuring profitability, cost optimization, and revenue targets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, governance, and ethical standards.
People, Talent & Culture
  • Inspire and mentor teams, instilling a consulting mindset and high-performance culture.
  • Drive capability development, ensuring talent readiness in AI, digital platforms, and consulting.
  • Address organizational mindset gaps by shifting senior managers toward agile, client-centric thinking.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Build long-term relationships with C-levels, governments, and regulators across ASEAN.
  • Represent co at industry forums to strengthen regional brand presence.
  • Develop strategic alliances to co-create solutions and expand market reach.
Experience Required

Minimum 15 years of working experience with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role within management consultingp>
