Job description

Overview

We are a well-established joinery and interiors company delivering high-quality projects across residential and commercial sectors. We are looking for an experienced Painter Foreman to lead our polishing / painting team, ensuring a top-tier finish across all projects.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate the polishing / painting team on-site and in the workshop

  • Oversee surface preparation, spray painting, brush and roller application on timber joinery or site finishes

  • Ensure all finishes meet quality standards and client expectations

  • Manage daily schedules and allocate tasks effectively

  • Conduct quality control inspections and rectify any defects

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Train and mentor junior painters and apprentices

  • Ensure correct materials and equipment are used and maintained

  • Track progress and report back to management on timelines and issues


Requirements


  • Proven 3-5 years of experience as a polisher / painter foreman or lead polisher / painter (ideally in joinery, fit-out, or construction)

  • Strong knowledge of polishing / painting techniques including spray finishes, stains, lacquers, and two-pack systems

  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively

  • Excellent eye for detail and quality

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specs

  • Experience in high-end residential or commercial projects
