The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, 10+ years of financial management experience, particularly in the construction sector, and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management.

  • Solid knowledge of project costing, contracts, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial and accounting operations.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze periodic financial statements.
  • Develop, monitor, and control annual budgets.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Monitor project costs and analyze variances.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with banks and external auditors.

Job Purpose

A leading construction, operations, and maintenance company is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage all financial and accounting operations. The role is critical in ensuring financial stability, accuracy of reporting, effective cash flow management, and in supporting senior management with strategic financial decision‑making aligned with the nature of construction and O&M projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily financial and accounting operations of the company.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze periodic financial statements and reports.
  • Develop, monitor, and control annual budgets and project budgets.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support ongoing projects.
  • Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and improve financial performance and profitability.
  • Manage financial aspects related to contracts, progress billings, variations, and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with banks, external auditors, and relevant third parties.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the finance team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management.
  • Strong preference for experience in construction, operations, and maintenance sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of project costing, contracts, and financial controls in construction projects.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are an advantage.
