About the job
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Performs clinical duties as per his/her assigned clinical privileges.
  • Assesses his/her patients thoroughly (e.g., clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments) and documents patients' assessment in patients' medical records.
  • Develops a plan of care for patients using an evidence‑based approach and following standards of care, and documents the plan of care in patients’ medical record.
  • Ensures that patients’ plan of care that is put by him/her is being implemented in a timely manner.
  • Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his/her name.
  • For inpatients admitted under his/her name, develops a discharge plan on the day of admission and involves the discharge‑planning service as early as possible if warranted.
  • Assesses inpatients that are admitted under his/her name at least once daily and ensures documentation of daily assessment and plan of care in daily progress notes using SOAP format.
  • Responds to medical consultations in a timely manner.
  • Documents medical interventions that he/she performs on patients in a timely manner.
  • Strictly follows Fakeeh care standards for documentation in medical records.
  • Responsible for timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for patients admitted under his/her name. Also responsible for ensuring that indicated discharge instructions and education on take‑home medications is done prior to patients’ discharge.
  • Attends to Fakeeh Health Care facility duties and responds to calls from the facility as per the departmental / section call schedule.
  • Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for writing medical reports of his/her patients in a timely manner and as per Fakeeh care format.
  • Contributes to teaching rounds and teaching activities as requested by chairperson of medical department.
  • Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Job Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with patients and their families, physicians and non‑medical staff.
  • Microsoft computer skills.
  • Should have good organization skills and be able to work in high‑stress situations.
Experience:
  • Completion of experience according to the regional health regulatory authority (as mentioned in education) within the field of specialty, in recognized medical centers.
Education:
  • Board / Fellowship.
Licenses / Certification:
  • License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS and advanced license if applicable.
