Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel property, all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services, and protection of the Owner's asset. Includes structural aspects of the hotel, maintenance of grounds, and external facilities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the Cluster Director of Engineering in developing and executing engineering strategies.
  • Assist in creating and implementing policies, procedures, and operational plans to improve business performance.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure quality, timely service delivery, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide regular updates and KPI reports to the Cluster Director of Engineering.
  • Offer guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineering team members.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between teams and departments.
  • Participate in performance reviews, attendance monitoring, and team discipline processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial matters with other departments and contractors.
  • Support the implementation of sustainable operational strategies and conduct environmental audits.
  • Identify opportunities for environmentally friendly improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Always adhere to hotel and department policies.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications

Knowledge And Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered or Fellow Member of a recognized engineering professional body (preferred).
  • Proven experience in supporting or leading engineering operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, system design, and operational best practices.
  • Experience in hospitality, construction, or large facility operations is an advantage.
