Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design Office team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of hands‑on experience in designing electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or utility projects. The role involves full‑cycle design responsibilities from concept to IFC (Issued for Construction) stage, ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop complete electrical design packages, including:

• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Load calculations
• Cable sizing and routing
• Lighting and power layouts
• Earthing and lightning protection systems

• Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, local regulations, and international codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
• Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, instrumentation) to ensure integrated designs.
• Conduct technical reviews, value engineering, and design optimizations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for design approvals.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Utilize design and calculation software such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
• Lead or mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay updated on new technologies, regulations, and best practices in electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Strong understanding of international standards (IEC, NEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).
• Proficient in electrical design software tools such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
• Good knowledge of BIM and 3D design coordination is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
