Job Title: E&I Technician

Salary Grade: SAR 3,000-3,500 + FAT

Division / Department: TS-MSS

Employment Type: Visit Visa

Duty Hours: 12 Hours / Day, 7 Days / Week

Contract Duration: 2 months

Job Summary

We are looking for a experienced E&I Technician to carry out electrical and instrumentation maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting during the upcoming SABIC shutdown/turnaround. The E&I Technician will ensure all work is executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with SABIC standards and shutdown procedures. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, knowledge of industrial instrumentation, and experience in shutdown activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform loop checks, functional tests, and insulation resistance tests (IR) for instruments and electrical equipment.
  • Assist in the commissioning and decommissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Handle motors, MCCs, transformers, control panels, field instruments, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Follow approved work permits, LOTO procedures, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
  • Support E&I supervisors in executing shutdown activities according to schedule.
  • Verify calibration and certification of instruments, electrical tools, and test equipment before use.
  • Report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations to the supervisor for corrective action.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3‑5 years of E&I experience in industrial, petrochemical, or oil & gas shutdowns.
    • SABIC shutdown experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: SABIC/Aramco Work Permit Holder , Electrical Safety / LOTO Training , Instrument Calibration & Testing Certification.
