Job summary

A prominent service provider in data governance is seeking a seasoned professional to review and implement data governance policies and standards. This role requires over 10 years of experience in a banking environment and expertise in data governance practices. Successful candidates will possess analytical skills, the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and familiarity with frameworks such as NDMO and PDPL regulations. This position is located in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Region, Riyadh.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Review and provide feedback for Data Governance managed project deliverables and approach/methodologies followed such as NDMO, PDPL and BCBS239
  • Review, validate & recommendation for the approach & methodologies to be followed
  • Raise service request or change request for the project implementation related activities
  • Coordinate with vendor / Stakeholders for implementations
  • Review & ensure all deliverables of projects are aligned as per specifications of regulation /Compliance
  • Facilitate discussion with data stakeholders on data governance processes and translate those requirements into workflows that can be implemented in tools
  • Work with stakeholders to identify trusted source, owner and steward for each of the critical data elements (CDE), and define business definition and business rules
  • Execute standard onboarding of technical and business metadata into the data governance tools, ensuring the population of data lineage and linkage between the technical and business metadata
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions to mature data operations and overall data governance
  • Participate in development and implementation of enterprise metadata standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure quality metadata and support for ongoing data governance
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key entities and stakeholders in and other parties as needed
  • Support to define new requirements, participating in End user meetings to derive and define the business requirement, propose cost effective solutions for data governance and familiarize the team with the requirements, specifications, design targets & techniques to support task performance and delivery
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or any other technical field.
Minimum Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Data Governance in a banking environment.

  • Process Adherence and Improvement: Follow and continuously improve data governance processes. Conduct regular assessments to ensure data governance standards are met and suggest actionable improvements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation and reports on data governance activities, policies, and compliance. Ensure all stakeholders are informed about data governance initiatives and updates.
Preferable
  • Certification in Data Management, Data Governance, CDMP
  • NDMO Data Management Standards
  • PDPL regulations
  • SAMA Cybersecurity Framework and NCA regulations
