Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working with engineering consultants or supervision consultancies in Saudi Arabia, with extensive knowledge of contract administration, claims management, variations, and FIDIC-based contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Law. (Master’s or relevant certifications such as MRICS, MCIArb, or PMP preferred.)
- 15 years of experience in contract and commercial management within the construction sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC, specifically in road/highway/bridge/tunnel projects under a construction supervision consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, Saudi public works contracts, and dispute resolution procedures.
- Proficient in contract drafting, claims preparation, and negotiation.
- High-level analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Familiar with cost control systems, ERP tools, and project management software.
- Experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously on large-scale projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage pre- and post-contract activities in accordance with project requirements and consultancy standards.
- Lead contract negotiations, reviews, and compliance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interpret and implement contractual obligations under FIDIC or similar frameworks; ensure legal and commercial risk is minimized.
- Review and approve interim payments, variations, claims, change orders, and final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, legal advisors, and project teams to resolve disputes and contractual issues.
- Monitor contract performance, enforce terms and conditions, and manage contractual correspondence.
- Support procurement processes, including subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Prepare and maintain contract documentation and commercial reports for internal and client review.
- Assist in claims analysis, dispute resolution, and arbitration support if needed.
- Stay updated on Saudi government regulations, standards, and industry practices relevant to infrastructure contracts.
