About the Hospital

Originally opened in 1982,this National guard hospital has expanded to a current bed strength of 800 beds to serve the needs of the military, their dependents, civilians, and VIP patients in the Jeddah area. This hospital provides specialist care in Anaesthesia & ICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medicine,Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, and the Home Health Care Program.

It is also home to a state-of-the‑art Oncology Centre opened in 2001 with Medical Oncology and Paediatric Oncology as the focus. Subsequentdevelopments have expanded servicesto include Bone Marrow Transplantation, Brachytherapy and Outreach Programs.

Qualifications Required

• 3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
• 3 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
  • UK – CCT
  • USA – American Board
  • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
  • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
  • Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
  • France – DES/DESC/CIS/DIS/French Board
  • Germany - Facharzt with sub speciality board
  • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.
