Commercial Operations Manager – Cleaning & Waste Management

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to lead and manage the commercial, contractual, and operational aspects of our cleaning and waste management business, supporting large‑scale sporting and cultural events in GCC. This role combines client‑facing commercial responsibility with close collaboration across operations and procurement, ensuring contracts are commercially sound, operationally deliverable, and executed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Management
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients for cleaning and waste management contracts
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, SLAs, pricing models, variations, and renewals
- Ensure commercial agreements align with operational capabilities, cost structures, and margin targets
- Monitor contract performance and manage commercial risks
Client Management & Business Growth
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for key clients
- Build strong client relationships to drive satisfaction, retention, and repeat business
- Identify growth opportunities including new contracts, extensions, and additional services
- Support RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and proposals in coordination with operations
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Work closely with procurement to source, appoint, and manage vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Evaluate vendor proposals for pricing, service quality, capacity, and compliance
- Lead or support commercial negotiations with vendors to optimise costs while maintaining service standards
- Ensure vendor agreements align with client contracts, SLAs, and event delivery requirements
- Monitor vendor performance and support corrective actions where required
Event Operations & Financial Oversight
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective mobilization and delivery of cleaning and waste services during sporting and cultural events
- Support budgeting, cost control, margin improvement, and revenue forecasting
- Review operational and financial performance reports and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with local municipality, environmental, and health & safety regulations
Stakeholder & Internal Coordination
- Act as a coordination point between clients, operations, procurement, finance, and vendors
- Support management with commercial reporting, performance analysis, and planning
- Contribute to improving internal processes related to contracts, procurement, pricing, and vendor management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10 years’ experience in cleaning services, waste management, facilities management, or event‑related sectors
- Proven experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, and client handling
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
- Experience in KSA or UAE markets with knowledge of local regulations preferred
