Job Description

WSP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh for a significant road infrastructure project. The Chief Land Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all land surveying activities, ensuring the accuracy and precision of survey data, and managing survey teams to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the land surveying team for a large-scale road infrastructure project.
  • Supervise and coordinate survey activities, ensuring that data collected is accurate and meets project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct site surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys for road and highway projects.
  • Review and interpret project plans and designs to prepare survey methodologies and reports.
  • Ensure all survey work complies with local regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Manage the preparation and review of survey documentation, including field notes, calculations, and survey reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including engineering, construction, and design teams, to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to provide technical advice and support.
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of surveying equipment and software.
  • Train and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any surveying-related issues promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure that all survey work is completed within the agreed timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related field.
  • Certified Survey Technician (CST) and Autodesk Civil 3D Certification.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong focus on large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in road and transportation sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, Leica, GIS tools).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maps.
  • Knowledge of local land laws and regulatory compliance.
