Overview

We are looking for a chef who is able to prepare healthy and delicious meals for the customers. You will be responsible for researching different recipes, setting up and planning menus, and preparing tasty dishes for our customers. You will lead a team of kitchen workers, determine the quantity of food supplies required for the week, and create a menu that can satisfy our customers and set a benchmark for our restaurant business.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the food preparations are up to our restaurant standards.
  • Train and motivate kitchen staff and sous chefs to achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Plan the menu and prepare meals on a day-to-day basis.
  • Identify flaws, correct them, and ensure taste remains consistent.
  • Monitor performance and provide mentoring based on performance.
  • Assist in budgeting and manage costs of meals according to customer preferences.
  • Create production and staff schedules to ensure timely delivery of food services.
  • Maintain food safety standards.
  • Ensure all equipment and cutlery are washed and stored properly.
  • Ensure the kitchen follows proper sanitation standards.
  • Modify recipes as per customer requests.
  • Assign tasks to staff related to food preparation, cooking, and serving to diners in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Culinary Arts.
  • Certificate from American Culinary Federation is a plus.
  • 2 years of work experience in a hotel or restaurant as a Chef, Cook, or Sous Chef.
  • Knowledge of baking and pastry techniques.
