Overview

Chef de Cuisine<br>The chef de cuisine is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to food preparation and presentation. They must have a strong passion for food and a creative approach to cooking. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-end restaurants or hotels and be able to lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff. The chef de cuisine must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. They should also have strong organizational skills and be able to manage inventory, budgets, and schedules. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and is open to Indian nationals with fluency in English.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and developing new menu items that cater to different tastes and dietary restrictions
  • Overseeing all aspects of food preparation, including cooking techniques, portion sizes, plating, and presentation
  • Managing the kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
  • Managing the kitchen budget and controlling costs without compromising on quality
  • Collaborating with restaurant managers to ensure a smooth flow of operations between the kitchen and dining areas
  • Conducting regular quality checks on ingredients and final dishes
  • Staying updated on industry trends and incorporating them into menu planning
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a chef de cuisine or executive chef in high-end restaurants or hotels
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, ingredients, and presentation styles
  • Ability to lead a team while maintaining a positive work environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with kitchen staff, management, suppliers, etc.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
  • Indian nationality preferred
