Job summary

A strategic investment firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist in Saudi Arabia to identify and analyze investment opportunities across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in business development, excellent communication skills, and an ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. This role requires teamwork, advanced MS Office proficiency, and a willingness to travel. A bachelor's degree is essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years working experience in business development and/or investment preferred.
  • Experiences in eCommerce, digital infrastructure/services are appreciated but not essential.
  • Working knowledge related to energy solutions for decarbonization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify investment business opportunities and report internally based on interaction with potential partners.
  • Analyze if identified opportunities fit the company's global strategies.
  • Support team members with negotiations and preparation of necessary business documents.
  • Manage customer relations and arrange meetings.

Skills

Good communications skills (verbal, written, and listening) in English
Good teamwork skills
Advanced command of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel and entertain customers/clients

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Profile
  • Investment type business development in various areas, for Co. as a strategic investor, which will be in line with the company’s global strategies in each business areas.
  • Trade type business development in various areas, in export and/or import, which will be in line with the company’s global strategies in each business areas.
  • Attending to matters of business development, meeting arrangement, documentation, analysis, study, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
  • Based on interaction with potential partners, investors, authorities, and other specialists, identify investment type business opportunities and report internally.
  • Understand the company’s global track records and strategies in various business areas and analyze such identified opportunities will fit them or will bring synergies to them.
  • Studying business scheme and feasibility and analyzing business circumstance, related regulations and laws, together with team members and other office staffs.
  • Support team members to negotiate business conditions with potential partners, including preparation of necessary business documents (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Support meeting arrangement, customer relations.
Relationships
  • Private and/or public potential partners of investment type business in various areas (infrastructure, energy, machinery, food, ICT, entertainment, healthcare, and lifestyle).
  • Counterpart staff of Head Quarter / Middle East and Africa Bloc, and relevant Corporate Divisions such as Legal, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Admin, etc.
  • Other various entities, including authorities, consultants, analysts, financial institutes, service, and individuals.
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience
  • Working experience in business development and/or investment for more than 5 years is preferred.
  • Any experiences in the following industries are appreciated but not essential:
  • Consumer platform (eCommerce).
  • Digital transformation (digital infrastructure, digital services).
  • Energy and infrastructure (oil & gas, infrastructure BOT/BOOT/PPP).
  • Energy solutions for decarbonization (hydrogen, ammonia, CCS/CCUS).
  • Food security related business (aquaculture, agriculture innovations).
  • M&A advisory and/or experience of Post-Merger Integration.
Education
  • Bachelor degree or above.
