Job Description

The Business Analysis Lead will be responsible for directing and overseeing all business analysis activities within the program, with a strong orientation toward delivery management. The role ensures that business requirements are accurately defined, validated, and translated into implementable solutions, while maintaining alignment with delivery timelines, governance standards, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis Leadership
  • Define and enforce standards, frameworks, and methodologies for requirements gathering, documentation, and validation.
  • Lead the development of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Conduct structured workshops, interviews, and analysis sessions to elicit and validate requirements across stakeholders.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.
Delivery Alignment and Management
  • Collaborate with program and delivery managers to ensure requirements are integrated into delivery planning and execution.
  • Provide oversight of backlog management, prioritization, and refinement processes to support effective delivery.
  • Monitor scope adherence, identify delivery risks related to requirements, and support mitigation planning.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining acceptance criteria and overseeing business validation of delivered solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Governance
  • Act as the principal interface between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external vendors.
  • Provide structured reporting on requirements progress, dependencies, and risks to senior leadership and governance bodies.
  • Facilitate alignment of requirements with business strategy, compliance standards, and operational objectives.
Capability Development
  • Mentor and guide business analysts within the team to ensure adherence to standards and continuous skill development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis and delivery management practices, tools, and templates.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis, or product management related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery-focused environments, with knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Strong expertise in developing BRDs, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Proficiency with analysis and delivery management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Preferred Credentials
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or CSM.
  • Experience managing requirements in multi-vendor or large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms, SaaS solutions, or government/regulated environments.
