Overview
The Assistant Property Manager supports the daily operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. This role ensures tenant satisfaction, manages administrative tasks, coordinates maintenance, and assists with leasing and budgeting processes under the supervision of the Property Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the property, including rent collection, lease enforcement, and tenant communication.
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
- Support the Property Manager in preparing budgets, financial reports, and occupancy / vacancy reports.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors for repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of leases, renewals, notices, and other documentation.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
- Assist in marketing and leasing activities, including property showings and tenant screenings.
- Ensure compliance with property laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Handle tenant move-ins and move-outs, including documentation and deposit management.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, data entry, and office coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field (preferred).
- 13 years of experience in property management or real estate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local property laws and leasing regulations.
Working Conditions
Office and on-site property visits.
May require evening or weekend availability in case of emergencies or tenant needs.
