Job summary

A leading multinational team in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee operations and manage maintenance teams. The role involves driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and managing budgets. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, significant fleet maintenance experience, and strong leadership skills. Qualifications

  • 8–10 years in fleet maintenance or similar environment.
  • 5–7 years in management roles; Middle East experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Trailer Refrigeration Systems (ThermoKing/Carrier).
  • Strong Diesel Mechanical knowledge as time served mechanic.
  • In-depth understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Heavy Goods Vehicle technical systems.
  • Ability to manage multicultural teams under high-pressure conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee workshop operations, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and safety protocols.
  • Manage budgets, operating costs, and repair & maintenance KPIs.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead a team of shift managers and technical staff; ensure training and succession planning.
  • Coordinate third-party repairs and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor fleet performance, utilization, and downtime; recommend refurbishments or replacements.

About the role

Lead and manage large fleet repair, maintenance, and asset management team to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective operations. Drive continuous improvement and team engagement while meeting operational and budgetary targets.
